Press Releases

DOLE Regional Director Ponciano M. Ligutom has reported that the Regional office has launched an accessservice dubbed “I-TEXT MO”, with the campaign slogan, “Problema mo .... i-text mo, sabton ko” (para sa inyo nga pamangkot kag reklamo). (You text your problem and queries and we will respond).

"In our effort to serve our clients better and to make our offices more accessible, we are opening up public access to the DOLE regional offices through SMS or text messaging," Ligutom said.

The regional DOLE mobile contact numbers are as follows: DOLE Regional Office –
0917327651509173276818; Iloilo-Guimaras Field Office –09173276719; Aklan Field Office – 09173273132; Antique Field Office – 09173275313; Capiz Field Office – 09173275220; Negros Occidental Field Office – 09173275919; Himamaylan Satellite Office – 09173275414; Sagay Satellite Office – 09173275717

Ligutom said the numbers are in addition to the already established ways to contact the DOLE regional oFfices, that is, by phone numbers and email addresses.

He explained that the provision of these mobile phone text or SMS services has made faster the conciliation-mediation process under the Single Entry Approach.

He cited the case of  Melchor Mendoza, an employee, who came to the regional office at about 4:00 P.M. on 4 May 2012 to request for assistance regarding his unpaid salary and benefits from his employer.

The regional office, using its SMS service reached out to the employer who fortunately responded positively.

"At about 5:30 P.M., Mr. Mendoza's request for assistance was satisfied when his employer came over and settled his claims," Ligutom said.

Both parties, he finally said, went home happy that day.
